    1. [ARMAGH] Marriage record 1839
    2. The Websters
    3. Hello an IGI patron contribution lists a marriage 18 OCT 1839 at Drumcree, Armagh in which I am interested. From your knowledge of the available records, might I ask where their researcher may have obtained this and other results, as they are all quite early? Ref: Batch No. 8632330 Regards Bill Webster Sydney Australia

These microfilms are held by the PRONI (Public Record Office of Northern Ireland) in Belfast. An index to Church of Ireland microfilms can be seen on one of the PRONI's web pages: http://www.proni.gov.uk/records/private/cofiindx.htm If you are seeking Roman Catholic parish of Drumcree records, copies survive from 1844. Microfilm copies of these records are also held at the PRONI. ajk

    1. Re: [ARMAGH] Church of Ireland SEAGOE
    2. Hello Rosemary, Stephanie et al, I've studied the records of both Seagoe and Knocknamuckley Parishes quite a lot, since I've found that ancestors of mine attended both of these C of I Parishes. Both are in the Civil Parish of Seagoe. I know that St. Gobha Church (commonly called Seagoe) has been in existence since 1771 - possibly a century or so before that. St. Matthias Church (commonly called Knocknamuckley) was established in 1837. It's right on the line between Co. Down and Co. Armagh, part of its property being in each of those counties. It's actually in the townland of Ballygargan; Knocknamuckley is a townland next to Ballygargan. So the only C of I church in 1812 would have been Seagoe, or St. Gobha. 3. Thanks for the reply, My Margaret left in 1853, She was also a McCann, Both of my Great Grand Parents were McCann's so I relate on both sides, Don't have any idea who their siblings were. I do that that Margaret's Mother's name was Anne. 3. I was under the impression that Armagh at one time was mostly McCann's. I don't find many on this list searching for many McCann families born there in the early 1800 that immigrated to the United States to the Minnesota, or the Wisconsin area, Would appreciate hearing from any that do. Still searching for some McCann's born to Peter and Margaret McCann of Newry, Armagh, Ireland Immigrating to the USA in 1853, We did find Anne McCann who married Ed McHugh and later married a Laflin. John Charles McCann, who was a brother to the five McCann children was my grand father, He however, was born in Juneau County Wisconsin in a small town, (Plymouth) situated between Elroy and Mauston Wisconsin, He married Bridget Haney who was born in Galway, Ireland.
