    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: alstromaria Surnames: Thompson, Boyd Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.arm.general/9352/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have traced my Thompson family back to Lurgan, Co. Armagh. The oldest generation I have is Robert Thompson (1783-1858) who may have been a son of William Thompson. In our family, there is some confusion about Robert's wife. I believe he married twice, first to Ann Jane Harrison then to Marie/Mary Beckett. On June 10, 1845 Robert and several of his children and their families sailed to Quebec, Canada on board The Conqueror from Belfast. One daughter, Susanna(1816-1876), married (in 1836) to Edward Boyd and remained in Ireland. They had seven daughters, the eldset of which married William Coskin. I'm specifically looking for any information on Edward and Susanna Boyd's family as well as Robert Thompson's ancestry and anything on his wives and their families. 1. [ARMAGH] Jenkins and Cockrane
    2. thomas rodgers
    3. I have a George Jenkins who married a Martha Coughrane(Cockrane). They either married in County Armagh or Antrim around 1830. I find them in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1832 when their daughter, Mary Anne, was born. I don't know if Martha is connected to George and William Cochran as I don't know where George and Martha were married in Ireland. They were Presbyterians. 1. [ARMAGH] 1830 JACKSON-JOHNSTON Deed
    2. Sharon Oddie Brown
    3. I have just posted notes of another indenture with footnotes. http://www.user.dccnet.com/s.brown/documents/1830Sept2-JACKSON-JOHNSTON.html These notes are a year old & I unfortunately I neglected to note my source. I will find it and add that information when I do. I will then endeavour to get the full Indenture. Names noted in order of mention: James JOHNSTON, William JOHNSTON, Elizabeth JACKSON, Rebecca HALL, Edward TIPPING, Catherine TIPPING, Richard JONES, Elizabeth JONES, John JOHNSTON, Thomas JOHNSTON, George JACKSON, Patrick & Owen KEENAN, David JACKSON. The Liscalgot-JACKSON-JOHNSTON connection also interests me because of Mary E. JOHNSTON (who married BREMNER). She was a governess for the GILMORE family of Liscalgot. In physical appearance, she resembles many JACKSON family members.
