However, it is accessable as a web archive http://web.archive.org/web/20050306051050/lurganancestry.net/index.html the search engine doesn't work any more but it is still full of useful information. 2. Bruce It is my understanding the use of the term "Full Age" meant that they were over 21 yrs of age. (In other words considered as adults). This the the term used on my grandparents marriage certificate and I believe it also meant they did not need parental consent to marry. Mel

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: 69barb Surnames: King, Neville,T hompson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.ireland.arm.general/9357/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Boy do I need help! This is what I know and it is very sketchy. My grandmother Mary Minnie King was born in Armagh Ireland on or about 5 April 1897. Her father was Thomas King. She had a brother George King and a sister Elizabeth that married a Mr. Thompson. Mary fell in love with a soldier and had a son my father James King out of wedlock. I know there was a pension paid for my dads care. Unfortunately my father's, dad, John Neville died on 1 July 1916 in the first world war. He was apart of the Royal Irish Fusiliers 9th battalion. He was a Lance corporal Service number 14591. He is buried in the A.I.F. Burial Ground, Flers, Somme, France. I have had a friend and cousin to try and find some military records of him at the Kew that would enable me to get his parents names and siblings. Their is a medal record, catalog reference WO372/14 at the kew but apparently nothing else. Any ideas as what I can do next. barb Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
