Unfortunately as he was pressed for time I did not get to ask him re Dynes/News...SORRY!!! The records he used were similar in format to those of Seagoe CofI but less detailed. They were a computer print out arranged alphabetically and chronologically(excuse the spelling). I did not get to look at them myself -I stated who/what I was after and he called them out. He was very nice and pleasant but was pushed for time. I do hope to go to Proni before Christmas to look at the original records which I hope will be more detailed so I'll keep your quest in mind. If you go to John Hayes' superb web site, in particular, his digitized index for Griffith's Valuation: http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php ... Type in "Connor" in the surname box, and select "Armagh" for county, two of your ancestors' names pop up, and I would hazard a guess that there is a better-than-even chance that you are related to the other Connors listed for the parish of Loughgall. ajk

Many thanks for any help! > > Pat, Florida Found by Google-ing, the web site for the Roman Catholic parish of Clonfeacle: http://www.clonfeacleparish.com/ Click on "Churches" to find the church of interest to your research. Key in the following on a Google search page: cemetery site:www.clonfeacleparish.com ... to obtain results for the word "cemetery" on that web site. There are several mentions. Google-ing for "cemetery roman catholic clonfeacle" led to this page at the "History from Headstones" web site: http://www.historyfromheadstones.com/index.php? mapofulster&denomination=RC ... and there is an entry for Clonfeacle, with a link to more information. Using the graveyard search feature on that web site produces two results for the O'Connor surname in county Tyrone (the town of Moy is on the county Tyrone side of the River Blackwater), one in the RC cemetery at Clonfeacle. Note: this is a pay-for-view subscription web site; it would appear that only the searches are free. The townland search page at the PRONI's Geographical Index web pages (click on "L" at the bottom of the page): http://www.proni.gov.uk/geogindx/townindx.htm ... shows that Lissheffield is in Kilmore parish, whle Loughgall is a village within the parish of the same name. Return to the Counties page of the PRONI's Geographical Index: http://www.proni.gov.uk/geogindx/counties.htm ... click on the County Armagh, to view the relative positions of the parishes of Kilmore and Loughgall, to get a general idea. Further Google-ing for "Lissheffield Loughgall" turns this item up an address for Lissheffield House: http://www.ukdata.com/numbers/NI050981.html ... Key the postal code from that address into the multimap web site: http://www.multimap.com/ ... You will get a better result by clicking on ">back to old site" in the top lefthand corner; the new site does not (yet) feature the information-rich OS maps for Northern Ireland. Pull down "Great Britain & NI", and key in the postal code. Use the zoom feature to zoom out and see the position of Lissheffield House to Loughgall. The 50,000:1 scale should do it. We also have an undated obituary for his mother which lists her place of death as Layshiffield (have also seen it spelled Lissheffield). Does anyone know if the Church of St. John Moy still exists? And, is there a cemetery connected to the church? Finally, are Loughgall and Lissheffield in close proximity to each other? Many thanks for any help!
