    3. Roxanna I have those townland names on the website as representative off places all over Ireland. I already have researched Derrylard and other townlands in North Armagh. I cannot 'add' sample of all the townlands. www.irishhomesteads.com researches townlands and families as they are requested. If you would like Derrylard, with special attention paid to the Symington family, their ancestral home etc. and some family material from Milltown Church please request one through the website. 3. Hi Maureen I just checked for John Carroll's headstone in Belleek graveyard. I found it. His death is given as 12th January 1879. So your great grandmother married before he was dead a year if your information is correct. I shall go back up to the church with a camera and get all the details for you. It is a beautiful white cross, better than most in the graveyard. John Carroll obviously had a brother married as a niece is on the stone too. Lots of family details and easy to see. His family still live here and I'm sure some of them would like to get in touch I shall get the photo to you hopefully this evening, if not then within the next few days Pauline www.irishhomesteads.com On Mon, Feb 15, 2010 at 8:51 PM, Dave and Maureen <[email protected]>wrote: > On July 11, 1878, my Great Grandmother, Mary Murphy Crawley (Crolly), > widow, > married John Carroll of Belleek. 3. Hi Ella I did not know you were connected to Clarkes. I am friendly with a branch of the Clarkes from Cortamlet. They were known as the 'Washland' or Whitesland' Clarkes depending on which of them you talk to. They have lots of connections with people just over the border in Monaghan I went to a conference in Monaghan a few years ago about emigration and it seems that most Irish people went 'over' to folk who were already in a place ie. they followed on after neighbours/friends/relations. I did not know about the Clarke family connection in Ulster County but then all the Clarke's I know are still about south Armagh When are you coming up around this area again? 3. Hi Pat I think I just sent you an email. The site is new and I need to work at it. I just put some sample names of places up. I intend in the next few weeks to put a few more samples up mainly for the Ulster counties You are indeed blessed to have Armagh ancestry!!!
