Hi, I just recently discovered that my ancestors John Rankin and Nancy McPake were born in Belfast, Ireland - doing a quick search of Griffiths it shows a lot of Rankins in Dock ?? in Shankill - is this Shankill somewhat close to Belfast?? Also on the death certificate of one of the daughters who was born in Ireland (she was born in 1841) - it listed place of birth as "Wood Street, Woods" - has anyone ever heard of this - I am very new to this and any light that you could shed upon this would be very appreciated!!
