Expanding my search area - looking for any connections/leads/clues/info for the following people...... My Great Great Grandparents, John McCutcheon and Mary McFarland were both born circa 1821 - possibly Tyrone County but info sketchy. John and Mary may have married before registration began in 1845. We know of only 2 sons - Samuel DOB unknown and William (possibly William "J") born circa 1865/1870, again supposedly in Tyrone somewhere (have 3 different birth dates but none have turned up a registration in Tyrone). William & Samuel came to Canada in 1886 or 1887. Samuel is believed to have been older than William; he headed west and disappeared. William settled in Paris, Ontario, Canada. William returned to Tyrone in 1894 and brought his mother to Canada where she died in 1899, age 78. It is not known where or when John McCutcheon died but believe he died in Ireland as he is not buried in cemetery with other family members here in Canada. It may be possible that these McCutcheon's started out somewhere else in N. Ireland but did end up in Tyrone mid 1800's. There is also some speculation on our part that William may not have been the son of John & Mary due to the fact that she would have been in her late 40's/early 50's at the time of his supposed birth - possibly he was the son of an unwed daughter but raised by John & Mary???? Would love to hear from anyone having any knowledge or connections to any of the people mentioned above - especially if you can solve the mystery of the origins of John McCutcheon and Mary McFarland.
