I have only been researching my ggrandparents for a short time now, I have took over for a cousin who started about 15 years ago.A short time ago I finally tracked where they were married and received a copy of the register. All this time we had thought our grandmothers fathers name was John, according to the register her father is listed as Constantine Doherty/Doughtery.John may have been a brother we think now.So now Iam on the search for Constantine and coming up pretty empty handed. I have no idea where in Ireland they lived. Only clue I have to try and follow is from a website that gave me this. Index to Griffith`s Valuation Of Ireland 1848-1864. Doherty, Constantine, Townparks Pg. 112, Ballymoney Parish, County Antrim. Index Directory ?????1823-1837 Doherty, Constantine, Ballymaclose. Doherty, Constantine, Townhead, Antrim County, Northern, Ireland. I have not been able to place his name with anything else. The only information I have with my notes are, My ggrandmother was Mary Doughtery\Doherty born in Ireland abt 1844. She was 19 when she married my ggrandfather Nicholas Rodgers/Rogers on 25 Dec 1963 here in Canada. The marriage register has her parents listed as Constantine & Ellen, we believe her mothers surname was Grey/Gray.We believe she had a sister Eliza & brother John. If anyone has the above resources on the Index above, to see if there is more information or any other resources that could help me with this would be appreciated.
