I'm researching the BRATTON family from Antrim County. Specifically, I am looking for any information on Andrew and Audrea BRATTON. Andrew Bratton (b 1686) married Audrea Bratton (b about 1690) Andrew Bratton married in Ireland prior to 1712, had at least four sons who migrated to the colonies of America in 1733. JAMES BRATTON, lived in Augusta Co., VA area CAPT. ROBERT BRATTON (b. May 20, 1712, Antrim County, Ireland), (m 1745 to Anne MacFarlane Dunlap, widow of Capt. Alexander Dunlap), (d 1785 in Augusta Co, VA.). Anne had at least four children by her first marriage and at least six children by her marriage to Captain Bratton. Robert was a Captain of Foot in the French and Indian Wars, and maintained that rank the remainder of his life, serving in the VA state militia. He also served on the Council for the Protection of the Virginia Frontier during the French and Indian Wars. WILLIAM BRATTON, (b 1718, Antrim County, Ireland), (m BEF 1742), (d ABT 1780, Augusta Co. VA or York Co. SC). He served as a Sgt. of militia during the French and Indian Wars, was captured and later released. He lived for a time in the area of Augusta Co., VA. but later with at least four sons and their families, moved to the area of Yourk Co., SC. SAMUEL (or ANDREW) Bratton, (b 1716, Antrim County, Ireland), no dates on marriage or death. He lived in Pennsylvania. There is a great deal of conflicting information on this man. Most published information gives his name as Samuel, but research by several people indicate it was probably Andrew.
