From the Brooklyn Standard Union Obits, October 20, 1918 Private Francis J. McCONVILLE of the Nineteenth Balloon Company died on Oct. 12 at Newport News, Va. He was born in Belfast, Ireland, and had been a resident of Brooklyn for ten years. He enlisted in the Eighteenth Balloon Company on Dec. 13, 1917, and is survived by his widow, Elsie; a daughter, Collette; his father, Michael, and two brothers, Michael J. of the Thirtieth Regiment of Engineers of Washington, d. C., now in France, and Peter, and a sister, Kathleen. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from his late home, 863 Sumpter street, with a military escort to the church of St. Martin of Tours, where requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery under direction of Thomas L.KEARNS, of Bushwick and Furman avenues.
