I would like to pick up on on two things, Sharon, and I hope you don't consider this to be a "hateful message". First of all Dorothy's message wasn't hateful. Read it again. Secondly, this isn't America - it's a web list concerning ancestors from Co Antrim, Ireland and they all didn't end up in the USA - there are lots of people on the list from all over the world - Canada, New Zealand, Australia, UK and Ireland, etc. I myself am in France. I do agree with you that horrible things happened to us all on September 11th, not just in America. This horrible thing happened to Humanity, regardless of country, and regardless of religion - even to the vast majority of the Muslims all over the world. It is and will be as difficult for Muslims to oppose Islamic Fundamentalist fanatics as it was for Christians to oppose the Inquisition in the Middle Ages - any deviation is heresy, any opponents must be possessed by evil spirits. Let's not forget that moderate Muslims in northern Afghanistan are fighting, actively opposing the Taliban. Not all Iranian Muslims agree with their government either. One Taliban religious leader has been quoted as saying, "There are only 2 appropriate places for a woman - in her home and in her grave." They obviously don't have the right to express there opinion on an internet forum. Tolerance is the key to everything - which incidently means sometimes hearing opinions you don't agree this.
