    3. I'm glad I'm not as cynical as this last message from Ron & Carol. My son is in the reserves and while I would rather he stay home, I accept HIS decision to go. I have seen the horror of this past week but I have seen the beauty of Americans in their generosity with blood, food and clothing, their patience in air lines, their understanding of a stranger's grief and the incredible courage of those who are still digging regardless of the horror they see as they dig and the danger they are in. As a teacher of English to foreigners who have come to this wonderful country, I have seen the hurt in their eyes for us and their very gernerous donations "since they can't help in new York". I have heard about the recruiting offices having so many YOUNG people coming to join up. I think you are looking at the donut hole (which every donut has) but I'm glad I have much more donut. Since I am not perfect, I don't expect my country to be perfect but its the best I can find and I'll stick with it.
