Obituary from the Brooklyn Standard Union October 10, 1922 Patrick LAVERTY, died yesterday at his home 178 India street. He was born in County Antrim, Ireland, Seventy-two years ago and has been a resident of Brooklyn for Forty-nine years. Employeed as a tugboat captain by the Standard Oil Company of New York. He is survived by his widow, Catherine; Five daughters, Mrs. Mary ARMSTRONG, Mrs Elizabeth KENNISON, Mrs. Isabelle LAVERTY, Mrs. Catherine COOKER and Mrs Margaret McCARTHY, and three sons, James, Patrick and John LAVERTY. The funeral will be held at 9 A.M. tomorrow with a requiem mass at the R.C. Church of St. Alphonadus. Interment will be at Calvery Cemetery under direction of J. E. McGuckin 139 Nobie street.
