    3. Hi all I am tracing the Adrain family and would like to know if possible where you found the info in this email about John. My husbands family came to Ontario,Canada around 1833-1837. Believed that at least one went on to Virgina. I am searching the name adrain..any spelling and Goodrey, as David Adrain born 1813 married Mary Goodrey. I am trying to find siblings and parents of Hugh Sr born 1785 married to Elizabeth (no surname) born 1784. Hugh and Elizabeth sons were Jugh jr born 1808?? or could be 1804,Samuel born 1810 and David born 1813 who is married to Mary Goodrey. I would love any info possible thank you in advance Cheryl Adrain [email protected] --- [email protected] wrote: > ATTACHMENT part 1 message/rfc822 > > NIR-ANTRIM-D Digest Volume 01 : Issue 172 > > Today's Topics: > #1 RE: Harrington, Adrain, Cowden - I ["Kim > Myers" <[email protected]>] > > Administrivia: > To unsubscribe from NIR-ANTRIM-D, send a message to > > [email protected] > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text. They keep records of all marriages recorded at British Embassies and Consulates abroad. Applications used to be on Form ORS 121 and cost £8 payable by credit card if required. 3. Hi all. Looking for the Church of Ireland marriage of John Galway and his wife whom I only know of as Isabella in the Belfast area between 1847 and 1853 inclusive. The marriage index gives a few possibilities, 1847 at Belfast, 1848 at Ballymena and two more in 1853 at Ballymena and Belfast. If SKS has access to parish records this would help choose the correct one. 3. I have hit a "dead end" with my research on my ancestor, William Cochran, born 1824, Belfast, son of ?Cochran and ?Crawford. I would like to get his parents' given names so have attempted to get his baptismal record (possibly in the Presby. Church or the NSP Church) but the LDS only have the Rosemary Street Presby. Church record on microfilm which did not have it. He emigrated, to North America in 1844, where he left "some uncles" and proceeded to Ontario, Canada. I have not been able to find a ship's passenger list for that date. At the time of the Griffiths Valuation (c1864), there were 10 Cochran families listed in Smithfield Townparks and two in Malone Lower but I need his father's given name for this report. Does anyone have a suggestion other than a trip to Belfast? Alice Cochrane

    3. Hi Glenda! Have you looked for marriage records for Peter and John in Ireland.Civil registration of births, deaths, and marriages began in 1864on a nationwide basis. Your local Family History Center of the LDS Church can show you how to use the alphabetical index by year for all of Ireland which have been microfilmed. The actual certificates have been filmed as well for certain years so you may be able to order the film of the certificate. If not filmed you can get a photocopy rather inexpensively from Joyce House in Dublin. You want the short form which cost about 1 punt 50 pence, not the long form which is much more money and doesn't give any more vital info. While you're at the local FHC have them show you how to use the Family History Library Catalog (FHLC) to discover the huge volume of Irish records the LDS have filmed.
