Re: Funds to Germany: I recently ordered genealogical books and had the same problem, to transfer funds to an account for huge fees. In the past I have transferred funds with paypal and it worked very well, but in this most recent transaction I send cash in a double envelope. My €uros came from a bank exchange. If you have no access to that, they will accept Dollars, that too has worked in the past and the exchange fee is much less than the transfer fee.
