    3. LeeAnn, I ran into the same problem with the LDS Schwagstorf records; they don't cover the right time period. Also, be aware that there are two Schwagstorf villages. The following relates to the Schwagstorf that is now part of Furstenau. I think the other Schwagstorf is associated with Cappeln. (Sorry, going from memory on this.) Last year I contacted the Niedersachsen genealogy society (I think) and they provided the following contact. I have not yet written Mr. Schuckmann. He is a retired school teacher and reads and writes English. "our member, Mr. Schuckmann, has made a local lineage book (Ortssippenbuch) of Schwagstorf. Unfortunately he hasn't an email address.
