Krueger, 80, passed away Tuesday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis. Born in Hannover, Germany on March 12, 1926, he immigrated to the United States in 1933 and was raised and educated in New York City. He had been a resident of Hamilton Township since 1954. He retired from his career as a tool and die maker in 1988 after over 40 years service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted in the Army in 1944 and served two tours of active duty overseas. He was a longtime member of the American Legion. Karl was an amateur radio operator, KB2ULP, and part owner of the Robbinsville Repeater. He was an avid surf and freshwater fisherman. He was son of the late Fred L. and Anna Schneider Krueger. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eileen Fitzpatrick Krueger of Hamilton Township; one son and daughter-in-law, Karl F. and Robin A. Krueger of Hamilton Township; one brother-in-law, Gerald F. Fitzpatrick and his wife Helen J. of Scottsdale, AZ; two first cousins, Waltraut Clark and Walter Krueger and his wife Doris; four nephews and three nieces; and many other cousins in the United States and Germany. Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton Township. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 1740 Broadway, New York, NY 10019.
