    3. Greetings. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether there is a German equivalent of rootsweb.com where people may enter family lineages. I'm only just beginning to research my Germany ancestry, but some of the most useful information to date has come from simply googling last names and places of origin. (Just last night I found someone whose ancestry is published on an independent website, and includes Klapperodts from Osterode - where we believe my 3rd great-grandmother Augusta Klapperodt was born.) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Though not restricted to German, you may get some good information from Geneanet: http://www.geneanet.org/ Parts of the site are subscription-based but others are free. I've found some useful surname info from the free portion of it. Regards, D. ---- http://www.sakionline.net/familypage/surnames.html
