Hello, I am searching for the ship that my great-grandfather sailed on circa 1879-1884. Claus Heinrich Steinberg was born in 1835, married Maria Oerding in 1859, and emigrated from Germany to Baltimore, Maryland, USA to eventually settle in Brooklyn, NY, USA. His wife, children, and sister-in-law and niece came here to USA in 1884. He may have traveled with his brother-in-law, Christopher Oerding, in order to set up a business before sending for the rest of the family.
