I was browsing the Message Boards and saw your request re Peter Wendolin Kau. I was in the library yesterday, and decided to see if I could find anything for you when I got to the library. Peter Wendolin Kau married Louise Dorothea Bock c1846 at near Woodside, South Australia. CHILDREN BORN TO PETER KAU & LOUISE DOROTHEA BOCK IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA 1. Anna Maria born 28th February 1870 at Reedy Creek, near Palmer District Talunga. reference book 81 page 43 2. August Reinhold born 17th October 1881 near Palmer District Talunga reference book 271 page 107 3 Carl Hermann born 26th November 1883 at Palmer, District Talunga reference book 317 page 444 4. Caroline Mathilde born 1st March 1878 at Palmer, District Talunga reference book 198 page 318 5. Dora born 11th May 1872 Reedy Creek, near Palmer, District Talunga reference book 109 page 251 6. Johan Frederich born 1st June 1874 near Palmer, District Talunga refeence book136 page 337 Our death records only go up to 1915 at the moment, but a team of people are working on updating the death records a bit further. DEATH. Peter Wendolin aged 78years and 5 months of Hundred of Ridley died 24th April 1909 at Caurnamont. Informant H. Kau, District Talunga reference book 341 pge 96 Typing up the above information has been quite an emotional effort for me. My father died 40 years ago. He was born at Caurnamont, and spent a good part of his life around Palmer. His grandfather, who came out here in 1855 from Ireland built a little house in Palmer, and I have been to visit it many times. Sorry I'm getting a bit "sad" as I type. Please excuse me.
