    2. In regard to the query of Judy Christopher - My Hoermann Gr is trfather had the town of Winzlar, where he was from on his tombstone, and knowing they were Lutheran, I wrote to the Lutheran Church there and got an answer from the Pastor, this was several years ago though. Winzlar is NW of the city of Hanover, near the Lunenburg sea(or lake), near Rehburg-Locum. The other Gr Grfather stated in his appplication for Citizenship that he was from the village of Eshbruch, which is still there but is in what was W. Prussia, since l945 is in Russian occupied Poland I am told. See if the church here has an obit, see his application for citizenship, see if an obit in newspaper. Good Luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy Christopher" <ajuntasc@suscom.net> To: <NIEDERSACHSEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 27, 2006 12:33 PM Subject: [NIEDERSACHSEN] Re: [NIEDERSACHSEN] Re: Bro. & Sis. - Hannah and Harmann Köster/Koester: Hannover > AL >I have searched high and low in the US to find the town where my Haverbecks >came from. 3. I went to the cemetery, the church were they were married and the church they attended in New Jersey. There was no information listed anywhere as to where they came from except "Germany." I know they came from the State of Hanover from family tales and notes. Hannover has many towns, so where or where did Gustav Haverbeck come from.
