Schapen is about 6 miles or so north of the town of Rheine in northern Germany. Rheine is north west of Osnabruck. You can easily find this area (Kriese Lingen) if you find Amsterdam on a map and then go directly east you will find these towns. It is a two hour drive from the Amsterdam Airport. Those of you who are interested in this name can contact me off list so as I can send information on EILERMANN's from the area. I have a cousin living in Schapen and numerous other brother and sisters in the surrounding area. If anyone would like me to contact my cousins to find you a contact over there, let me know.
