    3. Jo ... there were many German immigrants that came in the 1845-7 timeframe that came through New Orleans so be sure to check those lists. Almost all of them ended up in St. Louis at some point after that and then some moved on to Illinois and Ohio, etc.. Several of the arrival films are missing especially from 1845 and 1846 but there are still many to be viewed. These arrivals generally left from Le Harve France. I would never have guessed that my German relatives would have left from France since they lived in Niedersachsen but they did !! Cheryle Josiebanks@aol.com wrote: Hello Marge, What a wonderful service you are doing for those on the list. I hope we are not all overwhelming you. I believe my Gr-Grandfather , Ulrich WESTENDORFF, age 27, came to St. Louis by 1846-so too early for your look-up. However, I wondered if any of his siblings or cousins could have come a few years later. His mother was a SANDKER and they would have come from the tiny villlage of EISTEN just S. of Sgel. My other Gr-Grandfather, Johannes Bernard RABELING, came from MUENSTER in 1847 at age 21. I have nothing other than the year date. Again, I wonder if any siblings were also immigrants. Thank you in advance for your time & interest. Jo Westendorf Banks ==== NIEDERSACHSEN Mailing List ==== NOTICE -- To answer messages from the MESSAGE BOARD you must click on the link in the message.
