Hello all, A number of subscribers are responding to message board posts by hitting the reply button on their email, however, it doesn't work this way when responding to a Message Board post. When a list post says,"This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list." you must use the link provided in the message to respond. This will take you to the Message Board. The board gateway will forward message board posts to the mailing list but it only works one way. It goes from the board to the list but not from the list to the board, so if you reply on the list the person who posted the message may not receive your reply if he/she does not belong to the mailing list. Unlike the mailing list, folks are free to post to the message board without having to subscribe. Many board posters prefer not to subscribe to the mailing list, and only read the message boards. The open gateway benefits both the list subscribers and the board users so that the messages reach the optimal amount of interested readers.
