I am looking for these folks probably somewhere in the Emsland area. These families are Catholic: KALMER (var. Calmer, Calmire, etc.), Caspar, b. ca 1794 Married Maria KRIEGER, b. ca 1800. Children: Heinrich, b. July 1820 Matthias, b. July 1822 Franz, b. 1827 Maria, b. 1829 WINTERMANN, Johann Heinrich probably born in Lengerich. These families emigrated in 1844 to Monroe Co., IL (other side of the river from St. Louis, MO). The Wintermanns died in a cholera epidemic in 1849, with one son surviving and lived with the Kalmers thereafter. I am aware of the Ortsfamilienbuecher and the Emsland websites; however, my folks don't appear. Any thoughts other than going from one parish to another in Emsland? Thanks, Cynthia in California
