Dear Listers, We are seeking information about Johann Heinrich HANSMEYER/HANSMEIER, who was born about 1812 and his wife, Christiane MEHRKAMP/MERKAMP, who was born about 1817.They arrived in New York on 30 May 1848 on the Bark, Mercury. Their small daughter, Julianna was only one year old, when they arrived in this country. We were excited to find this information on the passenger manifest and that they were from Hannover. Since we have a date of arrival in New York, where do we write to find their Auswanderung record? Any help that you can give us would be appreciated. Thank you.
