Dear Claire, I have Hoormann relatives from Wehm, which couldn't have had more than a couple hundred residents in 1840. My grandmother was Maria Hoormann. Her father was Johann Hermann Hoormann and her mother is listed on her brother's emigration document as Angela Martlage. Maria came to St. Louis with her brother Bernard Heinrich Hoormann. I am very sketchy about these relatives. There is another Hoormann family from Vinnen (four miles from Wehn) that moved to Florissant, Missouri (where I lived for several years.) So I am interested in further info about Johan Herman Deters from Wehm. My Kramer ancestors lived in Andervenne along with my Rectin(g) relatives. Any connections? Thanks, Joseph Kramer
