    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZVC.2ACE/3990.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Robert, I followed your advice and e-mailed Frau Lengsfeld in Ihlienworth. She responded immediately with instructions about what she needed to send me the Sterbeurkunde. I had to send her proof that Metta Offermann was my greatgrandmother, a formal written request for the document and a deposit of 7 Euros into the Ihlienworth bank Konto. I ordered a bank draft over the Internet from International Currency Express. They mailed it to me and I mailed it to the bank in Germany. It cost me $9.21 for the money and a $10 service charge. They did accept my credit card for the order. I have just received the death certificate and it does indeed give my greatgrandmothers place of birth and maiden name so all ended well. Thanks for your help

    3. I am new to this list and hope someone will suggest how I might proceed to locate birth or baptismal records for my great- grandfather, Johann Ludwig Luschen/Lueschen b 16 Sept 1860. Family information is that Ludwig was from “near the city of Oldenburg,” but a very helpful person, Mr. Lueschen, (no relation) informed me that my Ludwig was the son of Johann Hinrich (b. 1 Mar 1810, Hengstlager Weg) and Catherine Marie (Asche) Luschen, oo 9 Oct 1840 in Wardenburg. Assuming that Ludwig Luschen/Lueschen was baptized in the church where his parents married, Ludwig was baptized in Wardenburg. What is best, writing or emailing the church in Wardenburg, or writing to the church archive in Wildeshausen to locate the baptismal records for Ludwig? Or, should I try to locate the birth record of Ludwig? Thanks in advance. MJ Albrecht, Nebraska
