I do have quite a bit of information on the Kreiter family. I was born in Shohola, Pa. Franz Kreiter is buried, along with his wife Christina in the cemetary near where I grew up, on German Hill. I would like more information on where the Kreiter farm was in Shohola. Josephine married George Keller, and my grandmother Justine was their daughter. After George was killed, my grandmother married Valentine Hipsmann. This spelling was changed when the family came over from Germany. They also settled in Shohola. Valentine was in the Civil War and lost his arm at Gettysburg. Josephine's brother John was killed in the Civil War in South Carolina. If this ever reaches anyone I would be interested in finding out any information they might have. There are still some decendents living in Pike County. Sincerely, Jean (Eckhart) Gross
