My name is Ingrid Fetkoeter, living now in Kingston NY but a native of Niedersachsen, Goettingen. Into Genealogy since 1998. My brickwall remains in Niedersachsen, where my G-Grandfather Friedrich August Boehme, born 1856 in Leipzig, deserted his 6 under seven years old children when his wife died in childbirth in 1891. No one ever found him, the children were raised in different foster homes near Hann- Muenden. Has he come to America, does anyone have Boehme in the family tree?
