I have been searching for my relatives in Germany. My ggfather was Ernest Bergmeier, Sr. and I know he came from the same area in Germany and supposedly was the last of 6 of 7 children. The only thing I know for sure is that he came here in about 1860 as the son of another family so we can't trace when he came for sure. He supposedly lived with a sister Sophie in Chicago and then was in the Will County Illinois area before ending up in Minnesota. Possibly same family?
