Hello to all and welcome to the new list administrator. I'm new to the list, too. My biggest brick wall is Paul MEYER. I haven't had any luck finding anything other than "Germany" for him. When I looked for and found the baptism records for 7 of the 8 children, I noticed that an Ernst Piepenschneider or someone in his family, was not only present for the baptism, but that baby got a middle name of that person. Checking the city directory, I noticed that Paul MEYER moved in with Ernst PIEPENSCHNEIDER when he came to this country. Ernst came to St. Louis, MO in Sept. of 1882. Paul MEYER the following spring. I was able to trace Ernst to Muenchehof, Brunswick, Germany. Unfortunately, the LDS have no useable to me, microfilm of the Duchy of Brunswick. I haven't the money right now to pursue hiring someone 'across the pond'. If anyone else has researched this town, near Seesen, and knows anything about the two listed above, I'd love to hear from you. ! Carol in St. Louis
