You go to a Family History Center and they then order whatever microfilms you want from the Family History Library out in Salt Lake City. It takes a couple of weeks after ordering them for them to get to the Family History Center. As to writing Schöllkrippen: The rule in German is that if the "Umlaut" is left off of a vowel where it should be, the "Umlaut" gets replaced by the letter "e". So if you can't type the "Umlaut", you simply use the "e" spelling; e.g. Schöllkrippen becomes Schoellkrippen. Robert

Warren, I found: Charles Retzke Chicago Ward 15, Cook, Illinois abt 1861 Germany White Head in the 1900 Census. It looks like the street address is 886 N. In the recent query about Germans to Britain, I was interested because my Phillip Geary born about 1830 may have come from Hanover (definately born in Germany) and it looks as though he stopped in Britain for a time. Any hints about researching this wouls be helpful. Also is it possible that the name Geary could have been something else in Germany?
