Greetings to all :) I have been looking at some of the DNA testing websites and wondered if any of you list-mates have had DNA testing done for ancestry search reasons and if you recommend a company in particular? It looks as though it is not exactly cheap... (anywhere from around $200 on up to $800 or more, depending on how many dna markers are searched) but the type of report one would receive must vary. Grateful to you all for your attention and for any kind replies, Judy N.

He had a brother, George, who lived with him most of his life. In the early 1900's Harry married Wanda Myering or Wanda Meyerling. She may have gone by Wanda Bruce as she was married to Mr. Bruce but he died in the 1917-1918 flu epidemic. Harry, George and Wanda moved from New Jersey to Pasadena in the late 1950's. Harry died at the Rose Parade in 1960. I believe George died before that and Wanda died in 1973 if memory serves me correctly. I would like to know more about the von der Lieths. Thanks. Pam

I am searching for the following members of the my grandfather's Haase family, who resided in the Thorn area of West Prussia from 1860 to 1886. Maxmillian Haase, born between1861 and 1879. Died at 21 years of age. One photograph of Max shows him at about 17 to 19 years old. This photo was taken in the Holzminden, Bad Driberg area. Anne-Martha Haase (known as Martha) also born between 1861 and 1879. Married and had seven sons. Husbands name unknown. Several photos of Martha were taken from Thorn and Bromberg. Anne Haase. Born circa 1884. Had photos taken while living in the Thorn area. Married Mr. Hintz (First name unknown) and had one child "Luzi." Luzi was born circa 1911 and confirmed in Spandau in March, 1925. None of these three are known to have emigrated out of Germany. The oldest sister in this family was Ida Juliannia Haase, born on July 1860. She emigrated to the USA and married Karl Retzke. My Grandfather, Johann Julius Haase was born in May 1880 and emigrated to the USA in 1903. I have fairly complete data on both Ida and Johann. Both name Thorn as their place of birth in their naturalization papers. Likewise I have several family photos from the 1860 to 1885 period with the photographers address in Thorn or Bromberg. The family was Lutheran when in the USA and is supposed to have been of that religion while in Germany. I would much appreciate any information on these three family members. Thank You for your trouble Warren Haase, Oregon, USA janwgh@localnet.com
