Nicholls b Olton, Solihull, Warwickshire, UK: 13.6.1884 His parents: William Godwin Nicholls, b c1844 Dudley, Worcestershire Annie Allen b c1857 Wednesbury, Staffordshire Giffard and two of three siblings (Erskine/Ernie and Stanley) emigrated to New Zealand in the first decade of the 20th century.
