Is anyone out there doing the 1891 census index for Kensal Green? If SKS could do a lookup for me I would be very grateful. Shirley, I am a Nicholls, but my family were mainly Bristol /Mangotsfield area as far back as 1600s.......BUT in the course of my search I noticed a lot of Cornwall Nicholls mentioned on the A2A site (Access to Archives) I don#t have the exact URL but a search for A2A will bring it up......... News from the Federation of Family History Societies, forwarded with permission: Yesterday we publicised a change in the opening hours of Lancashire Record Office, based on an announcement made by that Office. Tony Foster (Chairman of Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society) has since advised me that, for several years, the Office has been closed during the first full week of each month. That practice has changed as part of the change in opening hours from the beginning of September, and it will now remain open during that week in the normal way.

Jonas was my paternal g-grandfather, a coalminer, b. about 1830 in Mangotsfield, Glos, UK. He was married to Elizabeth, of whom I know nothing.
