Hi George, I have information on a William Darling b. Lemington, VT 30 November 1810(History of Newport pg. 363) died in Newport, NH 11 October 1884 of an impacted colon, his first illness, age 73 yrs. 11 months, 11 days (NH Argus & Spectator, 17 October 1884), son of Thomas and Betsey (Pickens) Darling (Newport VR). William was a joiner. He married Ann Kempton, daughter of Ephraim and Elizabeth (Cutting) Kempton, 22 December 1883 in Croydon, NH by the Rev. Jacob Haven (Croydon VR, 424). Ann is positively identified as a daughter of Ephraim from her Newport death record. I have lots more information on these families which I found in a book on Eva Belle Kempton.
