Does anyone know if there is a Newport Town History? Anyone know of a William W(hite?) Hubble? According to the Hubbell Genealogy, he was variously a mechanic, cabinet maker, manufacturer, furniture dealer, and department store operator. He was possibly s/o John A(DAMS) Jr and Asenath (White) b Dec 10 1835 mar Abbie A Wight 1859 Newport of Vt. Issue: male b Nov 24 1859 Newport. There is now a NEAT little booklet out titled The Old Red School House District No 7 Newport New Hampshire which is very well written, and gives 2 mentions of Bill Hubble. Any info re this family will be greatly appreciated.
