Hi James, I have no documents indicating place and year of birth.......that's the problem......I've been looking for 20+ years for any tidbit of information on his origins or place/date of death. And, yes, he IS the Gilman who married Margaret Dow in Canada 28 May 1839 in Cornwall, Ontario. Are you connected to these folks?
