Good Afternoon, I am looking for information about my 4x great Grandfather Simeon Morgan, whom I have just tracked to having been born in New Hampshire. Some wonderful folk on a mailing list from Maine have actually steered me in this direction. Simeon would have been born around 1750-1755 and was married to Lydia who was born around 1756 and if I found the right Lydia she died in 1850 Both were born in New Hampshire and Simeon was born in Brentwood New Hampshire. I don't have a maiden name for Lydia. The information that I do have is as follows. Simeon and Lydia have a son named David Morgan, if I read the information correctly they may also have a son named Levi Levi was born 1774 New Hampshire and died 16 Mar 1863 Kennebec, Maine. He was married to Nancy Brown born 1775 and I am guessing also in New Hampshire. She died 30 Nov 1861 Kennebec Maine. David was born 1779 Brentwood, New Hampshire and died 1 Jan 1844 Farmingdale, Kennibec, Maine. He was married 3 times Alphia Whittum (Wittum) born 1791 Salsbury, New Hampshire died 18 Jan 1847 Farmingdale, Kennebec, Maine Also married to Lavinia Moore and Elizabeth Winter. Many of these folk were recently found for me in the Hollowell Village Cemetery in Hollowell Maine. I think David was married to Alphia around 1825, but he had children in 1813 so the list of 9 children that I have for David, I am guessing are with the different wives. In addition, I found a tree on Ancestry that shows the dates I am looking for, for my Simeon, however it appears to have 2 different Simeons connected and the one that it keeps looping me back to is a young man that was Killed at Fort Groton at 17 years of ages. The information does not completey match. It shows that Simeons was born in 17 Sept 1755 an died 6 Sept 1781, making him 26 years old. However the obit connected states that he died at 17 years old, "In the bloom of youth" The 17 yer old could not be my Simeon, even though it would be nice to claim a hero. My Simeon had a couple of children. Any help finding information on Simeon and his family would and is greatly appreciated. Thank you Barbara Ann Phillips bphil4@earthlink.net
