Heritage Books, Inc. published "History of the Town of Rye, New Hampshire, from its Discovery and Settlement to December 31, 1903. In Chapter XIV, page 245, there is a description of the massacre, which took place in 1692. Anthony Brackett was killed and buried on the eastern side of the highway, which is now Brackett Road. I don't know if his grave is marked. There is a small graveyard near the intersection of Brackett and Pioneer Roads but I believe it is of much later origin. Is there any particular information you need? I'll try to help. Joyce Davies ---------- > Does anyone know where I might find historical information in the referenced > cemetery?
