I have the following information regarding Lydia Y. Cook [probably Lydia Young Cook]. Can anyone tell me more about this Moses Davis Family mentioned here??? I would also like to understand how "Lydia Cook was an aunt of Sally Foss". I don't know of this Foss-Cook connection. I'm sure it would provide another clue. Please!!! Thanks! Cemetery Records, Epping, NH, Davis Graveyard, on Moses Davis homestead, North River [Film #15566], Cook, Lydia Y. Cook died April 4, 1859- Aged 100 years;Note: Davis Graveyard"Lydia Cook was an aunt of Sally Foss. Both women worked many years in Newmarket Mills and saved some money. They lived together in a small house still standing (1906) near Wadley's Falls. Sally was mother of Charlotte Folsom, illegitimate daughter of Capt. Asa or Winthrop Folsom. Why were they buried in the Davis lot? Possibly Sally Foss was daughter of widow Foss who married Enoch Folsom of Wadleys. See Folsom Gen. p. 52 There was a house on east side road landing from Wadley's Falls to Epping near boundary of Isiah Edgerly's farm occupied by Foss family, in which Sally's two brothers and possibly others were born. Late in life Lydia Cook and Sally Foss bought a small place in North River near Davis places which accounts for their interment. Charlotte Folsom died with John Chesley's family in Towle-Edgerly house; . Christine Pettit California http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/p/e/t/Christine-M-Pettit/
