I thought I would again post info on my great grandmother -- my brickwall. Clara Jane WALL/WALLS was born in July 1863 in NB (possibly Black River, Frederickton, or St John). I believe she was left an orphan before the age of 10 and moved to St. John w/ an aunt. It is possible that she had a brother. She moved to Portsmouth NH and married Charles Edgar GROVER there in 1884. Together they had three children: Edgar Ray, Paul C, and my grandmother Hazel G. Charles and Clara Jane owned a home on South Street in Portsmouth right by a memorial in a cirlce in the road; this house faced the water, and there used to be a fish market, The BlueFin, I think, across the street. Clara Jane evidently was a dressmaker of soem reknowned in the Portsmouth area, particularly known for her beautiful lace. I have heard that Clarahad a niece named Clara Atwell, who also lived in Portsmouth. Clara Jane had a grandfather named Robert ROGERS, probably descended from the Robert Rogers of Rogers Rangers. I am seeking any and all information on her family. All help appreciated. Thanks, Sue Beechum
