Hi Cindy, I do not know anything about Luther, but can tell you that the name Silloway is the same as Musilloway, and both are corruptions of the name O'Sullivan - the immigrant ancestor was an Irishman, rather rare in northern New England at the time, and the old Yankees had a very tough time figuring out what his name ought to be. Probably he had a bit of an accent, too, and didn't know how to write it himself. Have always thought this would be an interesting family to descend from, but, alas! I don't (as far as I know).
