    3. Several people have asked me on my Conn River Valley list to tell them where to get good maps for doing research on the road. We just returned from a long 2 week search in the vast state of Maine and the map we used was : MAINE ATLAS and GAZETTEER put out by DeLorme, and it is usually available in bookstores . The maps shows detail of all the roads whether they are still in use or not.....and it also shows where towns existed and no longer do !! if you cannot find this atlas, write to: DeLorme P.O. Box 298 Yarmouth,Maine 04096 http://www.delorme.com tel: 207.846.7000 - ------------------------------------------------------------------ There is another company that we like to use and it's ARROW out of Bridgewater,Mass. They have street atlas for every county in Mass and best yet--it shows location of cemeteries whether it's still being used or not. I have seen this company's (Arrow) atlas in New Hampshire and Vermont......now they probably do have most of New England but outside of New England, I dont know but you can write or call them to find out,. The average cost of these maps is $12..but it's worth the price They are spiral backed so you can fold them back , each page gives detail of every town in the county that the atlas covers( for example, you get Metro Worcester/ Central Mass....it shows 85 communities, individual community map, etc) These Arrow atlas are readily availble in any good bookstore, Staples(office supplies). Most of the stores carry ARROW map for their areas only . If you need a map out of your area or you just cannot find these ARROW Street Atlas' in your area, contact: Langenscheidt Publishing Group ARROW Maps 50 Scotland Blvd Bridgewater,Mass. 02324 teL: 508-279-1177 Cynthia Listowner ConnRiver Valley
