My grandmother in East Kingston NH brought a nursery game to our family which I've never heard anywhere else. Her mother, Mary Emma Swett, descended from a long line of Swetts going back to John Swett of Newbury, Mass. I think she was the source of this ditty. Any other descendents from Kingston or East Kingston ever hear this foolishness in their youth? (This may be more anthropology than genealogy!) Start with the smallest toe and work up to the biggest one. Squeeze and wiggle each toe as you recite: Icky Pinny, Pinny Roo, Roo Whistle, Mary Hassel, and (deep voice) Big Tom Bum Bum.
