To all following the saga of Joshua the "falsely accused", I have finally established that he is the son of Elijah and Hannah (Gilman) Vickery of Exeter, although I do not know where he was born. I have also uncovered previously unnamed siblings and confirmed that he is brother to the Elijah Vickery who seved in the Rev War and was husband to Lydia [---]. The land deeds for Rockingham Co contain the trail of evidence. Hannah Gilman, daughter of Joshua Gilman is explicitly named as wife to Elijah in several sales and is identified as mother of Meriah Vickery, spinster (1756, Bk 54, p. 34) in the purchase of a pew in the Old Meeting House from Hannah's mother (now, Mariah (Hersey/Gilman) Gordon, widow of Nicholas Gordon. In 1776 the mother and daughter pair explicitly recorded as wife and daugher of Elijah Vickery purchase of Bradstreet Gilman a dwelling house. The deed which links all parties together is recorded in 1796 (Bk. 141, p. 442) when "...Joshua Vickery of Wakefield" (he disappeared from Hampton Falls in 1792) along with Israel Vickery, Elijah Vickery and Meriah Vickery jointly sell "...twelve acres of land...in said Exeter which our mother bought of John Sleeper..." Through the previously established relation between Meriah Vickery and her mother Hannah to Elijah Vickery, Sr., we can similarly situate her siblings in that same familial relation. Now, to find evidence of Joshua's unrecorded children; or those of Israel, or Elijah, Jr. George Branigan
