Last night on PBS's "Antiques Roadshow" an item from New Hampshire was featured that might be of interest to anyone researching this family. It was two wedding portraits done by Zedekiah Belknap (New Hampshire artist) of a young Hale couple. The person who owned them was from Houston (they never give their names)and she said they were her g-g-g-grandparents who married around 1813. The portraits were done on their wedding day. The appraiser said they were probably prosperous farmers who lived in central New Hampshire. This program often has reruns, so if you are interested, you could probably catch this particular show at some time.
