Magdalena, I am not certain about the IGI on microfiche but if there is a computer then go to the IGI and pick a name (entry) and click "enter" (or return etc.) and details of the persons event shows. If no details on source hit "enter" again (and maybe a third time). Then you should get to a page where it notes the film it is on and whether it data from church procedures from members or whether it is from an extrction program. The extraction procedures are quite accurate - Two persons copy each record independantly and then a more experienced person compares the two with the original and submits the final copy. Also at the computer get the catalog and browse by place, surname or other topic. Going to your choice will tell quite a bit about the film. The catalog also has books but these do not go to the branches. One thing, earlier the LDS would make films of requested books (within copyright limitations) but this has been discontinued as there are too many books. If the book was filmed earlier then a copy of the film should still be available. Experiment with the catalog! Brian Littlefield Ft. Wayne, IN
