Hello, I am in search of information on the family of Jonathan BARTLETT and Lydia CHASE. Jonathan and Lydia were married "about 1742" in Plaistow and had ten children as follows: i. Hannah Bartlett, born November 28, 1743 in Plaistow, New Hampshire. ii. Ruth Bartlett, born December 26, 1745 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died September 23, 1802 in Whitefield, Maine. She married Benjamin KING 1772 in Pownalboro, Maine. iii. Jonathan Bartlett, born September 16, 1747 in Plaistow, New Hampshire. He married Mary PEASLEE. iv. Mary Bartlett, born March 16, 1747/48 in Plaistow, New Hampshire. v. Lydia Bartlett, born November 3, 1750 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died February 14, 1818 in Whitefield, Maine. She married Nathan PEASLEE February 18, 1771 in Pownalboro, Maine. + vi. Caleb Bartlett, born May 11, 1755 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died June 14, 1819 in Bartlett's Mills, New Brunswick, Canada. vii. Rachel Bartlett, born April 17, 1757 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died November 23, 1830 in Whitefield, Maine. She married Solomon POTTER September 16, 1795 in September 16, 1795. viii. Joseph Bartlett, born June 27, 1759 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died June 2, 1828 in Whitefield, Maine. He married (1) Rhoda STERNS Bef. 1790. He married (2) Nancy MUNSEY November 13, 1790 in Whitefield, Maine. He married (3) Hannah PHILBROOK April 8, 1827 in Montville, Maine. ix. William Bartlett, born October 6, 1764 in Plaistow, New Hampshire. x. Mehitable Bartlett, born January 24, 1765 in Plaistow, New Hampshire; died September 1835. She married Ebenezer PHILBROOK in Whitefield, Maine. I am descended from Jonathan and Lydia's son, Caleb, and his wife Molly COOPER. Jonathan and Lydia moved to the Whitefield/Balltown, Maine area sometime between 1771 and 1784. I am looking for information on who Jonathan's parents were and his date and place of birth. This is a major mystery among those of us researching this family and any information at all on this family would be greatly appreciated.
